DÍA 27 DE JULIO: CRÓNICA DEL II ENCUENTRO MUNDIAL DE EDUCADORES CLARETIANOS

ESPAÑOL (ENGLISH BELOW)

A las 8,30 h., casi con puntualidad británica, subimos al autobús. Barcelona es nuestro destino. Allí pasamos este penúltimo día de Congreso.

Nos acogen en el Colegio Claret de la capital catalana. La mañana la dedicamos al trabajo congresual, mientras que la tarde la dedicaremos a visitas culturales.

Encarnación Velasco, madre provincial de las misioneras claretiana del Norte, no presenta la ponencia : ”La identidad del educador claretiano (religioso o laico)”. Desarrolla los tres conceptos que contiene el título: claretiano, educador e identidad. Será en este último término, identidad, donde se centre.

Utiliza los recientes mensajes del Papa Benedicto XVI sobre la educación y los educadores, los ilumina con abundantes referencias a San Antonio Mª Claret y María Antonia París.

Por grupos, en las instalaciones de la parroquia, trabajamos las propuestas que enriquecerán el comunicado final que una comisión ya está elaborando.

A los pies del Corazón de María del Santuario claretiano, nuestros hermanos y hermanas claretianos del cono sur, Argentina y Chile, animan y presiden la celebración que tenemos con los feligreses de la parroquia a las 13,00 h.

En los comedores del Colegio se nos ofrece, por parte de la comunidad claretiana, una magnifica comida a los congresistas.

La tarde la dedicamos a pasear por Barcelona. Visitamos juntos la Sagrada Familia, el Barrio Gótico, la Catedral y Santa María del Mar. Hubo ocasión, gracias a las explicaciones de P. Josep Vilarrubias, de recordar los pasos de nuestro fundador en su etapa de estudiante textil y, posteriormente, de predicador y arzobispo.

At 8:30 h., almost with British punctuality, we boarded the buses on our way to Barcelona. We spent there the second to the last day of the Congress.

We were welcomed by our Claretian brothers in the Claret School Claret of the Catalan capital. We devoted the morning to the normal work of the Congress and the evening to cultural visits.

Encarnacion Velasco, RMI; Superior of the Northern Province of the Claretian Sisters presented the mail topic of today: “Identity of the Claretian Educator (religious or lay)”. She explained the three concepts contained in the title focusing her talk mainly on the concept of identity.

She talked about some of the recent documents of Pope Benedict XVI on Education enriching her comments with plenty of references to the writings of San Antonio Mª Claret and Maria Antonia Paris.

In different rooms of our Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish we shared in small groups and work out proposals that will enriched the final declaration that a commission is preparing.

At 13:00 PM, our brothers and sisters from the South Cone, Chile, Argentina and Uruguay, animated and presided the Eucharist that we celebrated together with the parishioners of this parish of the Immaculate Heart of Mary.

The Barcelona Claretian Community treated all of us to a wonderful lunch in one of the dining rooms of the school.

Most of the afternoon and evening was devoted to visit the city of Barcelona. First of all we went together to visit the Holy Family Temple. We had free time later on. Some of us went to the Cathedral, the Gothic Quarter and St. Mary of the Sea church. Thanks to Fr. Josep Villarrubias, our guide, we had the chance to recall the steps of our Founder for these areas, first as student and later on as preacher and archbishop.
